Michael Manomivibul - Haunted

A little sketch for a little haunting.

I grew up in Thailand, ghosts are seriously a day to day normality. So much so that you can find these little houses on most streets, they are setup to attract wondering spirits, little food offerings refreshed everyday. Most people would prefer that the lost spirits inhabit this little house instead of their own home.

Michael Manomivibul - Demon Within

Moths don't scare me, they upset me.

Moths seem to have only two states, flailing panic or utter apathy. They fly without purpose or direction, often throwing themselves into mortal danger. Otherwise they just sit there, waiting to be crushed, making no movement toward self preservation. Life matters not to the moth, to me moths inspire the very worst existential anxiety.

Michael Manomivibul - Things that go bump!

Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, BLOODY MARY!

Of all the silly things kids told each other the Bloody Mary legend always unnerved me most. Mirrors are strange and eerie objects on the best of days, but Bloody Mary still makes me worry that the reflection I see won't be my own.
