Shannon Knight - Demons Within

Demons and demonology have had a substantial role in my past work, so I wanted to do something more playful for this week's prompt. This little painting is of the Marquis Andras, one of the demons described in the Ars Goetia as a winged angel with an owl's head and a black wolf for a steed.

Nothing scares me as much as the idea of failure. Nothing is more frightening than feeling like you are drowning in the thousands of things you want to do, or the obstacles between you and a successful life. I wanted to depict the sensation of being drowned by your fears.
