Jenna Kass - Things that go Bump

It's just a door, right? How could that be so scary?

My dad showed me The Haunting - 1963, black and white - when I was twelve or thirteen years old. I didn't sleep well for a week, and would for years after think of scenes like this one randomly and find myself cold and short of breath.

  1. To this day one of the boldest horror films because of its use of pure cinema to create frights. A 101 lesson in how you can manipulate the viewer. Excellent source for this.

  2. One of my favorites. So sinister as much for how the people treat each other.
